We are Here for You
Our goal is to ensure that your needs are met, without worrying about cost associated with services. We understand that often financial hardships can burden you, and so our program has been tailored to address those problems.
It is because of the FRC partners and friends who have given of their time, services, and expertise that we are able to continue to provide such valuable intervention at no cost to you. FRC is currently funded through a contract with the Department of Children and Family Services, thanks largely, again, to our partners and friends because they are concern about meeting the needs of rural communities in Illinois.
Our office hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Individuals calling outside the regular business hours may leave messages on the answering machine and these calls will be handled prompted at the beginning of the next workday. Callers experiencing a mental health emergency should contact their local mental health provider.
We have been doing outreach crisis intervention for over twenty years with great success!

FRC developed a model program to provide outreach mental health crisis intervention, information and referral to returning veterans and their families in rural illinois, utilizing returning veterans to do the outreach. FRC successfully piloted this program in five counties for one year until the state funding was eliminated. Using veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan to provide the outreach removed a culture barrier that frequently exists with veterans and it created employment opportunities. Efforts are ongoing to find funding to provide this important service at a time when the rate of suicide continues at a rate higher than the general population.
