FRC is appealing to rural leaders for donations to the FRC Foundation in order to raise matching funds required for grant programs and emergency operational funds when money from state program contracts is delayed. The Board of Directors of FRC has named this fund raising effort "Restore Hope". Under current tax laws any contribution to FRC is tax deductible. If you wish to make a donation you may do so by sending a check to the FRC Foundation, P.O. Box 87, Mound City, IL 62963.
FRC continues to look for ways to fund outreach services to returning veterans and their families. The Veterans Administration has many very effective programs however; veterans are often resistive to seeking these services, particularly veterans from rural backgrounds. The culture of rural individuals is one of pride and independence. The FRC model of outreach has proven to be a promising approach to overcoming resistance. For veterans FRC will use returning veterans to outreach to returning veterans in order to break down barriers to communication.
