FRC like so many other individuals and organizations await the final outcome of this legislative budget session of the General Assembly. Will there be further drastic cuts, or increased taxes? FRC needs funding to restore its outreach mental health crisis intervention program. This program component has been shutdown for eleven months, yet the calls continue to come in, requesting help. Many of these calls are from desperate individuals who express feelings of hopelessness. Some even mention that they have not excluded suicide as an option.
FRC has a new executive committee, which includes Lori Williams as President, Sheldon Keyser, Vice President, Richard Stubblefield, Treasurer, and Greg Cox, Secretary.
This Executive Director was honored with being re-elected by the membership of the National Association for Rural Mental Health to another three-year term as member of the Board.
