Hope Restored Campaign
Throughout FRC's 25 year history, the agency has seen both a growth and a decline in coverage area. Though originally created to assist rural farm families with the farm crisis of the 1980's, FRC has developed programs, such as those focusing on the crises faced by a deteriorating coal mining industry in Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and North Carolina.
No matter the industry, crisis intervention and suicide prevention for rural residents remains the priority of FRC. Today, even with a weak economy and with limited local, state and federal funding, Farm Resource Center is still determined to expand its coverage throughout Illinois as well as other states. As a result, FRC has begun it's "Hope Restored" campaign to save lives and ensure that rural people have the safety net they've come to rely on in Farm Resource Center.
The funds raised through "Hope Res to red" are used to pay for the general operating expenses and outreach efforts of the Farm Resource Center, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
